Value Proposition Design, by Alex Osterwalder and others.
For a few reasons:
Reason #1: It is methodical. Alex Osterwalder provides a step-by-step approach to product development that is easy to follow.
Reason #2: It is visual. The book includes diagrams and visual aids that make complex concepts easier to understand.
Reason #3: It is actionable. It includes a detailed process to take an idea to a product in the hands of customers.
Reason #4: It applies to courses, books, and other digital products. The strategies in the book are versatile and can be adapted to various types of digital products.
Reason #5: It is beginner-friendly. Even if you’re new to creating digital products, this book breaks down the process in a way that’s easy to grasp.
If you are at all interested in creating products that actually sell, I can’t recommend this book enough.
(And if you’ve read it, do you agree? What other book would you recommend for beginners?)
P.S. A lot of my own experiments, as documented in my upcoming book, “The 48Hr Book Method,” were inspired by “Value Proposition Design.
“The 48Hr Book Method” is currently available for early reader feedback. You can request access to it here.
